Mostly original early 72 and I'm trying to figure out the purpose of this rubber piece on the engine lid.
Any ideas as to what it does? |

Yes, it prevents damage to your trunk lid, if you open the trunk with the engine lid open. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
