Last night I clear coated the trunks and the
interior. Tonight I'll pull off all the masking.
Tomarrow night I'll mask off the areas that are painted.
Saturday paint goes on the body!

My shop is in Auburn, WA. If you want to come by and see
paint being applied, your welcome to watch.

Where in Auburn is your shop? My cousin owns Pat's Autosport on Main, just west of downtown...
I might be in the area Saturday.

If it wasnt for the fiberglass I would team up with alot of people to urge you to just clear coat it and leave the metal exposed...

But you could do the top..deck lid, hood, trunk, and roof in color and leave the rest just clear.....hmmmm

The shop is at 3534 C st. That's directly north of the Auburn airport runway. The group of buildings I in is called Airport Business Park and the business name is Choices Northwest. There's only a little paper sign on the door.
I plan on starting around 7am and it will take me all day. My phone number is 206 755-1705 if your lost.

Greenie and I went down to see the operation. Great set-up with the tub on a rotisserie in the paint booth. Very clean. He's putting 4-5 coats of base and then 5-6 coats of clear all in one day. He said he'd post pics but he'll probably be painting til midnight. Nice color of blue.

Hurry up and post those pics Billy!

Base coat was fun! I can finely see the color.
Several people told me I'd find all my body
work mistakes when i put on the color. I'm happy
to report I didn't. That's not to say there aren't some
spots I wish I had done better. Just that I didn't find any
new ones.
Attached Image
After appling 4 coats of clear, my advisor from Corvettes
of Auburn told me I wasn't putting on enough clear. He
turned the flow way up on my gun and man did the clear
come out fast.
Attached Image
I have about six heavy coats on now and that should give
me a plenty of layers so when I cut and buff a few off, I
don't run out of layers.

Long night, but I'm excited to get the doors, hood and trunk
done next.
