Fuel smell in the cabin or in the cabin AND engine bay?

I had a slight fuel smell in the cabin. Turns out the up-front fuel pump was leaky. Or more correctly, just oozing a bit. No fuel puddle or wet spots. But then just one drop of gas will smell to high heaven in the cabin.

New fuel pump and smell went away.

From underneath take off the front tray and you can reach up and feel the fuel lines going in and out of the gas tank. See if any of them are damp, especially if you don't know how old they are. Sometimes they seep a little.

I vote for the tank connection. Thats where the leak I haven't fixed yet is.
