No burden, just suprised that my place seems to have won out. I found Valley Portables & will call them up Mon. I put some blocks as stairs going down to the river, have a spot for a campfire & I have a small party tent I can set up down there. Just need to start mowing down there early enough so it's nice for the cookout.

Bump for input. Seems like the original date might have to stand for the prep that the host has done and others (chime in here) may have put in on their calendars already (hopefully). Oct 3-4 weekend is PCA Potomac club race at Summit Point. There is Columbus Day weekend in there somewhere...

Sept. can be rough, but I think we ought to pick a date and stick with it. Who shows, shows. Obviously I'd like to have the most people show who can.

If Blackstain already has plans set for mid-sept, then we should stick with it. If not, sounds like we might want to look at a date later in the fall. Either way, we should have a date set by Friday, and that date needs to be set in stone.

Joy and I have made plans for 2 days in VA in September.
If there's no cookout, we'll do 2 relaxed days at Monticello.

I'll come back in October if I can, but 2 trips there will be hard to sell.
