As of now I've made no plans for anything so any date is really fine w/ me. I've been told several times in this thread that this ECC is BYOB so all I really have to do is get a porta pottie & cut the grass. This is quite easy & there are no worries regarding this. Just let me know what & when & I'll be ready.

Look into tent rental, and get back to Jim and I.

We saved a little funding from the Mid Engine Invasion, and we can raise funds here to cover the cost of tent rental. Last year, the tent was CRITICAL.

I have one of those white tents that you see over the bar at parties,; big enough to park a car in. Only has one side & other 3 are open but could be tarped if necessary. Also have a cople of old portable card tables & 4 or 5 chairs.

Guess I should shoot a pic & post of the spot I have in mind?

Canoe belongs to my neighbor & will not be available. Sorry (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
I think the porta-potie should go where the canoe is cause it's in the shade all day. Opening leads down to the river. Bricks are a fire spot.

This is a view standing @ the bricks. 914's would look good along the back hedgerow. This is the part that needs to be mowed (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

We can bring our own chairs. Most of us will even remember to bring them home. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

For the tent, ask yourself if it would keep ~30 people dry in an utter downpour.

Now, that said, in 2007 the Plasketts got a tent, but it was bright and sunny and no one used it at all. Its a crap shoot I guess. I keep thinking of buying a surplus army pavilion tent from GSA Auctions for these type of events, but then I'd always have to drive a truck to events.

Johny place looks fine to me. We don't want him to loose a dime on this.

Is a Pay Pal Acct. needed, or just send donation directly to him. Maybe a new thread

is needed for a head count and food we are bringing . Just thinking out loud.

I can 'toss' my 10x10 EZ-Up (clone) into the Outback but it's available Saturday only. And chairs for us both, so at least we won't present a burden.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away I could play decent guitar but I hold no hope of being able to practice between now and September so I wouldn't count on me for live music.

For out potluck component we need something we can make ahead (like Friday...) that will still be safe on Saturday. Actually thinking of something like a big batch of pulled pork. If you're a veggie or keep Kosher - bring your own! (Or we might just bring a batch of bratwurst...)

How 'bout we keep everything here.

If you know what you're bringing or have a favorite dish, post here and the rest of us can work around it. Bring enough for you and some more to share.

Without the Dr doin' some of his Van Halen licks, we might need a radio for entertainment...

30? Snugly, but yes (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif)

Honestly I'd be more worried about our rust buckets, uhm 914s'. Cell tower 1mi away so strong signal for wireless.
Plenty of room for camping & pop up tents, also a trail north/downstream that leads to a swimming hole. Battlefield is south/upstream.

Are we set on the 9/12 date?

Jim- the hole is not on my property & is a hole. My stairs lead to a nice area for wading & launching canoes.

I'd rather not post my address so please PM me if you need it. There are several overnight options (hotels) in the area, due to the Battlefield. Here's a Mapquest link for further details:
