I'd be happy to talk about the 915, but I may not be able to answer all your questions because I didn't install it. That was work done by the PO.

Im back & I still wish Porsche made motorcycles. I will have some chairs, cooler or 2, bbq grill & pit, tables, porta-pottie & the big party tent. Have started cutting the grass so as to have no clippings lying around a month from now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Or the Vette. You know, if the Keg will fit in either. Is anyone from up my way planning a convoy? Zach |

Is anyone from up my way planning a convoy? What's your planned route? Maybe meet up with the NoVA bunch. Well, if Plaskett is going, I'll probably swing over his way and take 15 south. if not, then 83 into B-more and 95 into NOVA. I'll talk to him this weekend and discover his plans. Zach |

Ken, you bringing the 911? You should if you can. Or the Vette. You know, if the Keg will fit in either. I'll think about it... the Vette is still up on jackstands right now, but I found the problem last night (bad power steering return hose). Part is under $20 so I'm going to order one today. I have to clean the undercarriage, and preferably also the brakes / calipers since Carlisle is coming up in 2 weeks. And top top it all, that car hasn't been waxed in years (it lives in the garage). In other news, I am getting used to the air conditioning and the road manners of the DC5 real quick. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) QUOTE Is anyone from up my way planning a convoy? I'm going to be boring and take a straight shot down I-81. Don't know whether I will be able to stay the night, it all depends on whether I can get help with the dog. |

Either way, we could meet at intersection of 15 and 66 if we wanted to wimp out and take 66 to 81 or could meet at intersection of 15 and 29 to 211 if we wanted to go over the mountain (check your brakes!) |

Lincoln Highway? I have no idea. I don't see any of the highways or byways on my maps of the area called that. (The only Lincoln Highway I know is US 50...) 'round here somewheres... Attached image(s)

I was wondering where you pick up I-81... I was thinking US 30 at Chambersburg.

US 30 can be pleasant, but if you hit York at the wrong time, it can be a black hole of suck. Zach may have more information though.
I-76 to I-81 at Carlisle is a fairly efficient route, but there is nothing to see on I-81, compared to US 30. |

...if you hit York at the wrong time, it can be a black hole of suck. BTDT, lived to tell the tale. This is one of the reasons we're taking off Friday. I hear you on the non-scenic interstates, but as this is a weekender bracketed by 9 hrs (4 down, 5 back) driving, we need to balance the scenery with the just-getting-there. Besides - we'll be in the Outback, which is an excellent long-distance vehicle and quite capable - it's not the choice for canyon carving. Especially with an EZ-up, potluck food, table, chairs, camera gear, and weekend luggage for 2... |
