For what it's worth I'm still up for hosting it. I however, have no clue as to what exactly I would need to do. I'd presume, not assume (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) , aranging food, booze, portapoties & to scout out the best road tour around? i don't think it should be up to the host to arrange or foot the bill for this stuff. i would suggest a pot luck sorta arrangement and if there was interest in some catered food, we could all donate. i was overwhelmed at the ECC 2008 with the food and drink (but really appreciated the tent) and i hope slackin' didn't get stuck with the bill. afterall, he needs to spend the money repairing the grass in his field after the bonfire, campout and ......... As much as I appreciate the catered BBQ that we had at the last one, two, three ECC's (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chowtime.gif) , I don't think we should be a big burden on the host... after all, they are providing a venue for our motley crew. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/jsharp.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rock_band.gif) I'll be happy to provide homebrew as long as there are people willing to drink it. |

I think it's safe to say we all are more than willing to split the bill. If you aren't....you aren't one of us (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

Okay, lets put this to a vote then. If I can, I will make this a poll in the first post.
Locations: 1) Blackstain's farm in New Market Va (152 miles from Baltimore) Farm, so we can have music and merryment and maybe a fire as late as we please. Straight shot down I-81 for most of us, and pretty roads to drive. 2) Chris's parents farm in New Paltz, NY. (261 miles from Baltimore) Farm, so we can have music and merryment and maybe a fire as late as we please. Northern location, which would bring in some cars and folks we may have been to far from in the past. 3) Cumberland Historics (Cumberland Airport, MD) (146 miles from Baltimore) With this one, we get potential AutoCross capabilities, and parade laps, and drives through Western MD (very nice). We also become part of a larger historic car even, which could be a plus or a minus, depending on your view. Overnighters may have to find hotels - I am unsure of the camping rights. It would add new flavor to the ECC to be sure. Also, this would lock the date to Oct 25/26. Nice for early planning, but less flexible if we want to accomedate conflicting events/races/etc. Lets get our vote on! Zach PS: we still need a lead event planner. |

There are neighbors at my rents but I'm not too concerned. One has a rooster so this would be a good opportunity to get back at the owner.

I'd vote for the one in NewMarket....and I don't plan on missing 2 years in a row. Missing last year's event just felt odd.

if it's in VA, I'll take the 914.
for further locales I'll take my daily driver. I just don't know if I could handle listening to 8 track tapes for 6+ hours. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I guess that doesn't really help with the vote. I don't mind making logos again this year. can't wait to meet you all again for the first time. no drinking at ecc '09 for me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif) |

Rich NY would get a bunch of new people if the more southerly people could swing that. 8+hrs one way is alot of driving for those from CT, MA, and NY. Note: New Paltz is 3hrs from my house and down some awesome roads so I'm kinda biased (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

PA would rock, but I am biased as well. However, the swap meet is in April and the weather is usually dodgy - cold, rainy, both, nice. A real crap shoot (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stromberg.gif)

Although we don't have a definite location for Pa., I would like to see it somewhere in Pa. to try and get the most east coasters as possible Wasn't there an offer for ECC 2008 on the top of a mountain in Pa. last year?
