Very good. US 30 west of Gettysburg is very nice, especially going through Caledonia State Park. Around Fayetteville it starts to suck again, but you're almost to I-81 at that point.

anyone cruising 64 west from richmond? scottyb?
just seeing if there is anyone coming this way.

Im actually thinking about going "up over the mountain" on 33w.
a little more fun... and slower. since this will be the furthest Ive
been away from the house in the 914 Im looking for a
sunday-drive type of route.

we should have set up a REGISTRY at the local super market and liquor store so that we can slide by on he way in a buy a few needed goodies.

is there shopping near the crash site??

i will bring or preferrably chip in for whatever is needed.

we need to be sure we split - evenly - any cost incurred by the host - excluding any damage to his grassy areas.

Yeah IF I make it I'll definitely be up for that. Right now looks like I will be there but I have a lot going on with moving the shop and myself and trying to keep up with work. I'll kep checking in and stay in touch (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Both a grocery store & VA ABC store in Mt. Jackson, 8mi N of my house.

Normally I wouldn't worry about that with 914s, but I've seen Jim's car.

Zach - i'm planning on going but may have the barnes with me as K's out of town that weekend. So I may day trip it. Regardless we can meet up near me and then head west on 340/15 to Winchester and then down 81 to new market. Made that run to Roanoke plenty of times.

Oh yea, I searched the thread and we didn't post a start time. So, as far as I can tell, the farthest day-tripper (doing this trip starting Saturday; Barber Dave is spending the night Fri and Artecknika is coming in Fri and another is coming in Fri) is Zach from Dallastown PA. So Zach, what time would you leave your house and what is the travel time to New Market? For example, say one left PA at 8 and the travel time is mapquested at 4 hrs, so, add in 1 hour for gas, rest stops, meeting a caravan, a start time in New Market could be 1 pm/lunch time everybody would be hungry at that point, not too early for Johny, puts it after 12 noon for imbibing (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) ....

suggest a start time of 1 pm?

Jimkelly, you might be farthest, what are your plans/ETD?

'Kay - although since we're overnighting just up the road, even if we sleep in and have a leisurely breakfast I expect we'll get there pretty early. If our gracious host doesn't mind some 'earlycomers' we can help get started with setup stuff. Always seems to take a few minutes of head-scratching to remember how to unfurl the EZ-Up... Hey everyone - been a long time. Two kids is rough. Work and kids leave no time for the BBS anymore. Car sits in garage now. It's working and everything but just no perfect time to drive it. I took it out today a little bit.

The bad news - I have a family wedding the day of ECC this year. Wedding starts at 1 PM with reception immediately to follow. We'll probably leave around 5 or 6 from the event.
