QUOTE(Johny Blackstain @ Jul 1 2009, 12:29 PM) *

QUOTE(type47 @ Apr 27 2009, 07:10 PM) *

When we last left this, the event was going to be located at Johnny Backstains, (Al's), in New Market, VA, on Sept 12 (9/12 is the closest we can get to 9/14, well, there was a type IV in a 912E... so we're sorta related...). If there are any input ideas, before it gets too close to the date, about conflicts, now is the time to state them.

The plan is pot luck, comraderie, (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drunk.gif) .

Hershey had an autocross, MAMER could have a hillclimb (up the mountain)

Oh, really? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

I thought this thread got put on hold in mid-location-voting? Last thing I remember was abstaining from voting because I offered this location & did not want to influence the decision. The invite is still good for having it here, but this should be settled cause it's already July!

Glad the offer to have it in New Market is still open. In the past MAMER's, it was held close to 9/14 so I am asking if 9/12 is convenient for you so it can be settled. I'm not planning a big production, and thought pot-luck to eat would be a cheap plan for all. Things will be more visual when I return from Utah about July 26th and I'm in Mobile, AL right now on a family matter (old people (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) )

I have no problem w/ that date, however the location still has to be nailed. I remember there was a valid argument for having it up north, since the past 2 Cookouts have been in this area. I suggest a poll or some kind of voting thing between the locations & add a deadline to it.

Anybody want to make an offer? If not, 9/12/09 in New Market, VA. Might as well start replying here as an RSVP.

I could be in for that - sounds like fun.
Probably the last road trip of the year on the summer tires...
If anybody else from SEPA is looking for a ride lemme know - the Porsche Support Vehicle Titan seats 4...

276->76->30->81 is about 20 minutes longer than 95 but is way worth it...

I'll be in where ever when ever.

But I still want to know what MAMER stands for.

As an update, The Lovely Joy expressed an interest in seeing Monticello, which looks to be about an hour away, so I think we'll be making a weekend of it. I'll get to play with my 914 friends Saturday and then it's off to Monticello for Sunday.

So you may move our marker closer to the 'definite' side of the scale.
Pls advise when the official signup information page is open...

Where do I send money, and how much ?
If there's anything I can do to help, let me know.
(Looks like we'll be in the flat-6 rather than the Porsche Support Vehicle Titan tho...)

No pre-paid requirement. It's planned as a pot-luck, bring-enough-for-you-and-a couple-more. If you have a special dish or some favorite you want to share, post now and early to ID so everybody doesn't bring the same thing. Bring rain fly and chairs. If you'd like to donate funds to the host, OK. I'm leaving SLC tomorrow for East Coast so I will be able to post more info. To date, the plan is still at Johnny Blackstains in New Market VA on 9/12. There have been no other solid offers so that's the plan. Start posting your RSVP's here so we can start getting a head count.

Glad to bring an EZ-UP or whatever else may be useful - but I have to take it when we leave Saturday night...

Joy and I are foodies so we'll bring _something_ with us. Gotta think on what tho...
