My car came with both transmissions, so I currently have one of each. The tailshifter is in the car since that is what was stock.
Properly working and adjusted, what are the advantages to swapping the sideshifter in? I eventually want to get either one rebuilt, and install a new shifter. How much better would it be if I invested the time and money into the swap? I searched, but I didn't find much. Thanks |

I just made that decision between tail- and side-shift. I went with side-shift because the linkage is much more direct giving a more distinct feel at the shifter.
I will need to swap out all of the linkage from the tail-shifter and procure side-shift hardware. |
