The car came with a set of silver bullet guages. The wiring harness is out of the car. I have not matched them up to see what is correct. Accoring to George's book 700 tech tips the change over was at chasis 15752. My car is 15585. Does anybodys LE have silverbullet guages? Car was built 28 Feb 74.

All LEs have the black center gauges Mark. I checked even the earliest photos in the VIN 143xx range, all are black. George must be wrong on the changeover VIN.

Great info!

Nothing worse than having a judge come up to to tell you your car is great, but the guages just lost you the show!

Jeff, that is what I thought also. I have a 74 parts car made in Nov 73 and it had black guages also. I thought that part of the info was incorrect.

Knikki, # 14970, is also a Feb 74 car. Black centres, not silver.
