I judt got an 11 blade fan, I am tr ying to take off my 5 blade fan. I have the bolt off the alternator shaft, I have pulled the shims but I cant get the fan off the alternator shaft. Is there anybody who has had this issue or am i missing special tools? HELP!!?!?!??!

Personally, I use a puller. If you don't have/can't make one, you can remove the entire alternator assembly and VERY carefully knock the fan off from the back. NOT recommended, but it can be done. The lip of the fan is really thin, and can easily be damaged. BTW, I believe you also have to change the crankshaft pulley to match the fan, and you have to be sure the fan is the correct diameter for the ring. The Cap'n
