I am re-installing my seatbelts, my problems is the belts have retracted and I can't pull the belt out to remount them. I'm not jerking it, just pulling slowly, but the won't budge. Thanks for the help. Mike

Hold the retractor at the same angle it's mounted in the car.

Here is a photo of the pendulum mechanism that actuates the clamp. As mentioned above, if you hold the retractor at an angle, the pendulum thinks it is seeming some "G" forces and wants to clamp. If the correct angle doesn't work, you may have something sticking. JoeO
