Call George at Auto Atlanta.
Get a new replacement from a 914 vendor and support them.

Its easy to run a new one...just unhook it from the gas pedal and pull it out the back....reverse install.

Here we go again! Why would you EVER go to Advance or NAPA for parts for a 914?

Try GPR, Pelican, or AA. Running the new cable is gonna be a challenge. Be SURE all of the old one is out before you try to put the new one in. Remove the ball cup and nut in the front, pull the cable out the back. Slide the new one in from the back, attach it in the front, making sure its not intertwined with the clutch cable. Mirrors and bright little flashlights are your friend. The Cap'n
