An long time, PCA friend presented these to me today. He acquired them in Germany "back in the day". I think the yellow car is /4, the other cards are of a /6.

From what I am reading, and my German is flakey at best. The two cards are for the 1.7 car and the other is for the 914-6. However the pictures do not match the back information. All 3 cars appear to be 914-6's. The red car pictures have -6 steel wheels and the yellow car has Mahle gasburners.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) It wouldn't be the first time pics and text didn't match. I'd suspect way back in 1970, just the shape of the car would be enough to warrant whatever the copywriters wanted to caption it with. I'm certain it never crossed their minds that some 35+ years later that 1)the postcards would survive, and 2)someone would scrutinize said postcards for accuracy.
