I finally finished my major tune up I all need is to do is a valve adjustment. I finally got my new CHT gauge and oil pressure gauge working

http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...89991&st=60

I was able to bring down the oil temp from 250 to 220... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

I have read all the post on CHT temp. I know the range is like 275-375. My question:

Is this the same (temp range) for all cars (914s) and different engines. I ask because from what I have read 2.0 Efi run hotter than the others. So if the oil is hotter and engine runs hotter then the CHT gauge should be higher?????????????

A 1.7 will produce less heat...less HP than a 2.0 liter.
How the head cooling works will affect the overall temp.

More HP produces more heat.
