914-6 BULKHEAD MOTOR MOUNT

This mount works on early or late cars, has access for the wiring loom and is designed to set the mount height to accommodate carbs, MFI, CIS or DME without major modification of the bulkhead piece. I have been selling this mount for over 10 years, this is the latest revision of the mount with all the changes suggested by customers who have bought this in the past. This mount is bolted to the firewall to determine location of engine and then is welded on for reinforcement. The welding will take about 10-15 minutes for someone that knows what they are doing and can be preformed after the engine is installed. None of the stock 914 equipment needs to be relocated. The mount also uses 911 motor mounts and standard mounting hardware. This mount is great for the do-it-yourself type person who is doing a six conversion and wants to save a little money. These mounts go for $500 + at a retailer. I accept Visa/MC through PayPal. FREE Shipping in the cont. US otherwise shipping on buyer, will ship internationally but buyer responsible for all shipping fees. Email me with any questions. Kit is $250.00 I also offer the hardware kit you will need to install this $85.00

This is a great price. I am going to make a suggestion on your design though...I have this in a car and removed it to repaint (obviously bolted in) but the way the wiring harness was mounted it was fairly difficult to pull through the hole. I subsequently have have the triangular cut out near the center squared off so it has adequate room to slide the harness and grommet through. I feel that would be a positive modification.

Tthanks for the input, I am allways open for feedback to make a better product. I think you have an older version, I have recently made a bunch of improvements to the mount. Instead of a hole for the wiring harness there is now a channel to go over the harness instead of pulling it through.

still have some mounts available $220 shipped in cont US.

Do you have any pictures of these installed?

If you are doing a six conversion, is this kit a requirement?

Thanks for the patience, in advance.

My installation in a 1970.

This is one of his earlier mounts. Required some modification for the wiring harness on the early car. Also, had to be trimmed to get the installation height correct. Another inconvience I ran into was you could not install the front piece of 914/6 tin until the motor was in the chassis.

There are a couple of methods to install a six. This and the RJ Mount are the best as far as I am concerned.

Still have mounts available for $265 shipped and installation kits for $85, also ask about the 914-6 rear boxed arm stiffener kit and the 10 piece chassis stiffening kit available.
