I was going to rebuild this saw, but have decided to buy a new one.
If you have a 029 with a blown motor this is your solution. Stihl 029 Farm Boss for parts Only 15 hours on the motor. All outside plastic pieces damaged, excluding the panel that houses the rope pull and the chain cover. No damage to air cleaner, carburetor or internal plastic pieces by the air cleaner. Chain brake is OK, but hold bar is broken. Chain bar is bent, but it could be straightened. Have two chains, both just back from the local sharpening service. $100 plus shipping. |
