ok.i told you all i would get some info on this very cut prof glove ...WHIZARD PROTECTIVE WEAR made in the U.S.A and sence i got my last pair they have made it better with none slip grip palms and i put a fresh razor blade in my knife and tride to gut( yes i said gut) my hand not even a scratch. i get them free so the first person that wants the pair can have them.If you dont need them dont ask for them let someone that really needs them have them.Just remember you CAN poke your self with the tip of the knife but you will never slice yourself again.and there washable

Thanks for the info, i'll look them up on-line. If anyone is going to get cut it's me. It never fails. I can walk by a cutlery store and end up anemic. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Looks like something I would wear under my regular wrenching gloves.

are they an automotive pair? or are they good for kitchen use? i'd like a pair if they work for in the kitchen stuff, if their automotive let someone who does more automotive work get them.

Just about anything ,,but mainly food processing I use them for gutting and skinning big game animals and fish

Simpson Kevlar GlovesOther than the snazzy Simpson logo there's nothing automotive about these. I have a pair of these (and the sleeve - it's priced per each) and I do like them for sheet metal, exhaust, and carrying firewood.

Because I like them, I haven't put them to a destructive test yet.

But I need to order up some other stuff from Simpson so I may put another pair into the shopping cart. To my eyes they look a little more heavy-duty than the white ones in the fish picture (as in, they are a tighter knit and you can't see skin through them.)

And I have a pair of the Youngstown gloves as mentioned in the other thread in my Amazon shopping cart as we speak ...

I just looked at the simpson gloves and i would say there comparable...so go grab your sharpest knife and see if you can cut yourself ..lol..maybe stick a hotdog in the finger and try it first just incase there not what you think ??..girls love scares

I gotta think that even with the handy-dandy cut proof glove you'd pretty much take a finger off with the clever. Of course if the gloves are really good the tip of the finger would still be in the glove, just no longer attached to the hand (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

'tis not a 'cleaver' in the 'chopping of meat' scenario.
It's a 'nakiri' - a blunt-front vegetable knife.
There was no chopping involved - just a gentle slice like i'd take on a carrot even if it weren't in a glove...

so at the(PNW) teener tuesday Party I brought a Cut proof glove and even a good razer would not cut it...I tryed it first and then Jeff and Troy just flat pussed out..LMAO
