Been waiting a while to add GPS input to display speed. (I make
this stuff). Easier to compare runs or laps now. Think this will be
the edge I need to beat the 911GT3RS's and 993TT's? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

(I make this stuff)

Is there any way to get an on-board camera with much better image quality?

One thing i can't stand about pretty much all in-car cams i have tested so far is the poor quality of the image.

Even on the expensive ones ...

What have you tested? Resolution can only go so far on TV-based systems, and
the biggest problems are handling bright, dark, and worse the combination of them.
If you go to one of the new self-contained tiny digi-recorders, you are stuck with
their compression, which if it's not H.264 is crap, and may be targeted to long
storage time.

The reason for the multiple camera system was that unless you are in an F1 car,
there is no way to mount it to capture everything of interest.

I have gotten some decent stuff using the small sony hd camcorders. I have some apitek 1080p cameras I need to try. Get them for $100 on ebay but I can't say they work yet. I hope they do because then if it gets destroyed I won't care. Plus they are so light they won't fly off if held by one suction cup.

I am uploading one of the high def videos I have now that youtube allows Hi Def. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

I have a ton of stuff I have never uploaded now that I am looking thru this stuff.

Have to tell me how you hook up this system of yours. I might be interested if I can get the footage in HD. Do alot of filming of heads up races and high speed runs. Love to have a GPS reading in the 200s. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
