dusted off the 914 yesterday. I was kicking it jack-stand style for a few weeks prior.
I finished restoring my pedrinis and getting tires mounted.
I replace front and rear wheel bearings (so quite now when cruising).

It officially has NO leaks. I fixed the last small leak which was just the angle-drive
o-ring. given how much it leaked when I bought it a few years ago, I thought it impossible.
it's a good feeling.

this thread really has no purpose. just to say hi. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif)
I had a really good time with it on my 100 mile cruise yesterday so now Im all excited for
the warm weather to finally get here.

Nice slackin' - I pulled mine out of the garage on the nice day we had and found at least two calipers seized. Can't wait to rebuild those. I did have my e-brake on all winter. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

Like your car, looking real nice.
But, you should know better. never, never say your car has no leaks! It just might hear you. ha,ha.
You must have some great drives around where you live. I used to live back in Va. and never had my 914 then, but the country drives were great.

Slackin',

Your car looks good. How about a few pictures of your wheels and a description of your resto process for them? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Todd,

Nice photo shopping. That lightening brings the photo alive.

Hell yes! Those Pedrini's look great. I gave up on mine long ago (I stripped them down in a small blast cabinet and was going to paint them with silver Wurth, and they also needed to be machined for late front hubs), but yours have me reconsidering. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

thanks guys for the kudos on the car.
I've been driving my TR6 so much I forgot how refined the teener is.
it is truly a driver's car.

as for the pedrinis:
I did self-etching primer, wet sand, Würth silver, then Würth gloss clear coat.
I was very please with the results. it will smooth over all the original texture,
so be aware CW-type. they actually look powdercoated.

to start, these wheels with were beat... curb-rash galore so it took some time
with the file to clean that up. again, Im very please with the results.
sorry... no upclose pics of the wheels though.

oh, and thanks for that photoshop of the picture. looks so much better.
