Just from the limited video bits you can see how fast this Porsche accelerates.

Wonder what motor configuration this guy is running?

Crappy lines through the hairpins, but otherwise not bad ...

I have no comments on lines either as if you can't say something positive it's best to leave it alone.

I was just amazed at how fast that car accelerated. I'm still wondering about the turbo configuration.

Not only can you watch but you can listen!! he locked up the brakes on that hairpin hence missing the apex of the turn .Thats why he went so wide ..better to go wide then spin out and loose it all togather...anywho cool vid cool car and if any of us where faster we wouldnt be sitting here playing with ourselfs .JMO (IMG:style_emoticons/default/flag.gif) ...Thanks for sharing

Hairpins. I'd say he was probably having trouble with driving any kind of good line with a road that narrow with gravel and crap on outside portion of the road. Takes some space to properly setup a car that wide. Car was clearly pushing due to lack of room to kick rear end out. Appears to be an accumulation of gravel and marbles on proper line entering hairpins on outside. Sure looks like a bunch of stuff on outsides of those turns that forced him to drive on clear path rather than perfect line. He may have been taking best line avialable that had traction. You can see when he came into one turn a little too hot and drifted off line and got tires into crud that front of car pushed pretty badly.

You can keep up to date on Hoopa here:

http://www.rscc.net/

Or just call Tina. She is the club president and very nice/helpful.

Tentative date for Hoopa: July 17th, 18th and 19th.

Wow, you guys are harsh.
Ever try running on public roads like that? Not easy. Think about he first time your ran a new track - you drove a round a bit searching for the perfect line, perfect apex, may have taken a bunch of laps.

On these hillclimbs/tarmac rallies, many times the first time you see the corner is also the last. So you go with what you can see, as fast as you can. MAYBE a handful of practice runs, but not 30 minutes worth of laps.

you don't get points for style, you win by speed, so sometimes you don't have the luxury of apexing quite right all the time. Oh, and the gravel, potholes, off camber, blind turns, etc are NOTHING like on a racetrack...

Just a little perspective. Would love to see some in-car from this car.
