...first year I'm attending so I can't say how it all develops
I did speak with someone local to Hershey who has attended and is vending. Don't have much info about the guy, but Paul is his name. I could get his phone number from the club site; I'll probably drop him a line since he seemed interested in making this happen.

He made it sound like there would have to be some coordination to make the corral thing work...for the most part. I'm surprised that 40 spots couldn't be held till around 9:30-10:00 for 914s (but again, my first time so don't know the flow of things)

I driving out some time Saturday morning. I'd like to get there by 8:00am, but have to depend on others waking as early to leave on time...so time of arrival might be sketchy at best.

I am not sure exactly what you are talking about...but let me guess.

There are two places to park inside (aside from your specific booth)

One is the corral, and that is set aside to sell your car, so its not appropriate for us.

The second area is the car show...This area never fills up. It starts close to the front of the parking lot and moves back as cars arrive.
It would be simple enough to park towards the rear and just keep parking back there...not a bigf deal.

The local PCA guys are very concerned about us creating a show within a show...so they may try to stop that, but I suspect we can talk them out of being jerks on that day, at the event.

On paper they will say no. In person they are just as cool as anyone else if and when we approach them. I will coordinate when you and I are down there...and we can work them together to get a 914 parking area.

There have never been this many 914's at the show, so they typically put us with "early air cooled" cars. Not a hug group anyways...few people drive the old cars there for the show, just locals typically.

...thanks Rich...but I really don't know what I'm taking about.

I guess I'll have a better idea next year how things work...hopefully the weather will be as good.

When I spoke with Paul, he was sure things would be different this year. All groups/types are gathering and entering for corral parking organized like.

Car show parking sounds like the deal-e-o. Get Pauls phone number so we can get his assistance.

Can someone call him and make sure he is at the Friday night gathering?

I think we need to move our of the Palmyra parking lot at 8:30 and shoot for a 9:14 showing of the masses in the car show parking lot.

I am working out of town, I have very little time to be on the boards now. But if Paul is at the Friday night gathering and we post a message to the masses about the 8:30 departure from the Palmyra, I think we can pull it off.

I am in training during the day and working til 2:00am to wrap up about a dozen claims so I can leave town without a bunch of work to do.

Sorry I can't be more help in the final stretch.

I'll call you later today (wednesday)
