Not sure but probably have the 911 oil filler neck. Anyway when I go to put it in, the dip stick tube hits the oil screen inside the tank and the cap ends up at an steep angle. This can't be right?!?

Is there a hole in the screen I should find with the tube?

working on this right now if anyone has the answer...

THANKS

I just put one in a six the other day, and I didn't have to find any holes for the dipstick tubre. It went in easily and I just tightened the clamp on the hose between the tank and filler neck.

Bringing back this thread:

So you can use a 911 filler neck on a 914/6 factory-style oil tank? Would you need to change the dip-stick out for a 914/6 specific one, to get the correct depth markings?

Same with the oil filter console...the one on a911 tank can be used on a 914/6 tank, right?

Thanks,

edit: whoops, a little more digging and I think I found the answer in this old thread:
