Just finished the whole wire-wheeling and POR-15 of the interior. I
hope I never have to do that again to another car, it's too much work. (IMG:http://members.rennlist.com/marks/build.gif) But the results should be worth it. Oh yeah, one more reason to buy a 6-cyl, the oil that leaks from under the filter console for 30 years seems to prevent rust on the longitudinal behind the driver's seat. That area was like new. Hey Brad you were the one who told me how much weight the tar is,
and I couldn't imagine there was that much stuff. But at least on the six, where there is no engine-side firewall sound pad, the piece of tar on the interior-side of the firewall is at least 15 lbs by itself. Mark S. '70 914-6 |

That looks great, bud. Good job!
Yes, there's a lot of tar, but it also deadens a lot of road noise. -Rusty |

QUOTE(acox914 @ Mar 31 2003, 10:48 PM) Nice work! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif) now you can do mine next! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) I gave myself carpal tunnel syndrome on this one, you don't have enough money to pay me to do another (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:http://members.rennlist.com/marks/build.gif) I did shove my camera into the center tunnel to check on the clutch tube and seems well attached at this time (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) Mark S. Mark, please show me what you used to get the floors that nice. I've use a variety of different wheels and brushes and can't get close to what you've shown. Maybe you can give some pointers on Saturday at your 914 Tech Session [plug].
