A little expert help is needed. I have a 72 914 1.7L wide body. I can't remove the seats with the instructions contained in the Haynes manual, and I can't find any instructions on how to replace an accelerator cable.Any guidance and/or help will be greatly appreciated.

There is a little spring tab that you need to lift up to slide it completely out. Look close and you'll see it on the seat mount.
