I just installed URO rubber front bushings and did a write-up on it.

This is a major "low dollar" install.

Here is the link;

Why? Does he hang out at Home Depot?

I get thrown out of Sears for spending too much time in the tool department.

Maybe you haven't been around long enough, but when he built his 914 racecar, 90% of the parts came from Home Depot ...

The rubber garden divider as a lower front air dam was a classic!

Nice writeup and very creative tools. As SirAndy mentioned, Trekkor would be proud!

Wes,

As usual, a nice write up.

What are URO rubber bushings? Did you mean urethane or?

Thanks,

Andys

I'll probably be following your article for my a-arm treatment. Great Job.

What's wrong w/Home Depot? My Dad made shift busings from PVC that worked a whole lot better then what you can buy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I probably shouldn't mention that Home Depot helped repair the tube for the engine lid cable either.

Thanks;

URO is the manufacturer of the rubber bushings. There are other suppliers, but I can't comment on quality or size, which could impact how difficult they are to install.

(on a personal note, I was thinking of you and your snarky comment about using JB Weld on the steering column bearing, when I was using the stuff. Standing in the garage laughing! Here's to you Andy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) )

Gr8 job on the write up Wes , when you get it on the road , let us know how the new rubber feels !! and handles. Should be quite smooth on bumpy roads and less vibration. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)
