Oct 10-11!

The important stuff ( clarified 6/18):
*If you bring one or more gear boxes for rebuild then the cost is $300
*Spectating is free and you can ask questions (but will have to wear a thong on the out side of your pants so we know you are freeloading (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) )
*The cost includes: gloves, rags, cleaners, parts trays, aluminum baking sheets for parts cleaning spots, sarcasm, foul language (when no kids around), etc.
*New parts area available through me ( I will beat any suppliers prices, let me know). Seal kits area available before hand for $40
*People are encouraged to bring cores to part out as people will potentially need more parts than I will have.
*The clinic is 2 full days and I will work as long as you do. I usually start at 0930 and go until after 2200 if necessary.
*PM me if you are going to be a paying guest and make sure to tell me which clinic you are going to attend.

Depending on the date, it would give me an excuse to visit my son (not the EX (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) ), even better if you built my tranny there and I could bring it home.

I see that Mike is gonna host the Clinic, but if more people want to attend or you need more space I'd offer up some space at Aircooled Heaven for the event..

I have a presentation room for those aspects of the workshop and I doubt you could find a better environment for the class than being on the top of the mountain...

That close to me
Yes I will be in and my brother also
That would be two more 914's there.
Atlanta or Jakes would be fine.
This should be a great learning event!

Having been to AH I will say it is a fantastic place and would be a perfect place for this. We can still do it at my place. I dont mind. AH is about 1.5 to 2 hours from the ATL airport. My place is about 30 minutes from the airport.

Dr. feel free to PM me and we can talk about what you need, etc.

Mike

It's a nice drive up to AH, sounds like a road trip to me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

I would be interested in this. The date will be the deciding factor though. (It will also decide if I DRIVE the teener over or haul my transmission!)

That brings up a good point. Will there be facilities/time to R&R the transmission? Or would attendees need to plan to show up with a loose transmission?

That depends. I am open to R&Ring, but those people would need to show up earlier and it depends on how many there are. R&R would kick ass as you would be testing your rebuilt the same day (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Is there anyone that would not be able to make it to AH? Is everyone cool with AH? If the distance to AH doesnt cut into out clinic too much, since it is a 2 day event that is 8 hours of driving over 2 days which is a lot of shop time, then I am cool with it and it would be a great excuse.

Is Michael's place closer to everyone?

Michael, I'll be in touch soon.

Are there any places to stay near AH?

I had this great picture in my mind of a hotel parking lot with 1/2 dozen 914's up on jackstands with no transmissions in them! Then asking the hotel if we can use the shuttle van to haul 6 people and their transmissions! LOL!

Helen is a bit farther north. It's a German like village with some restaurants and lodging. There are some good roads in that area, popular biker destination. We could mix a drive in with the class.

Depending on the number of people that need a place to stay. I also have a cabin that is in Blairsville GA not all that far from AH. It is 4 bedroom, 3 bath. Its on 2 acres so if some want to camp and still have a place to bath, eat, etc. We can use that.
