Hey guys!

Well, we finally got the 1.8 running right (old vacuum lines were useless, and the MAF was corroded and stuck wide open!), and now looking for some little parts to get it nicer to drive. We ditched the big stupid rubber bumper POS on both ends and found front and rear bumpers, and will be mounting them up (on a '75), so would like some "dogbones" for both ends, or will make our own since we are going to have to drill the holes anyway. Also, the driver side outer door handle pot metal popped, so if someone has a replacement, that would save a little time and welding experimentation and frustration(?). Actually drove the car for the first time today, and running fuel injector cleaner and fresh fuel, and wow!!! It is starting to come to life!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

Also looking for some cheap wheels to replace the fugly steelies that some idiot painted black (on a white car?), so if anyone has a set, ...

Thanks for the endless help and information on these web pages!!! For newbies like Steve and I, it has been a tremendous help !!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Oh, and if anyone wants some rubber bumpers, or the shocks that they mount on, we have them, in great shape. They weigh a ton though, so shipping would be more than they might be worth? Ya never know, though...

Thanks to RobW for the dogbones, which will be on the way soon, and Bruce for the offer as well. Still looking for a door handle though. Thanks tons! Oh, also the panel behind the seats is pretty ratty, but not sure if we can afford to replace that yet. Then there's the driver side tail light, front amber turn signal lenses and other stuff. We'll get 'er there eventually! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
