There is a 74 Porsche 914 LE Creamsicle for $13500 posted for sale at http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=803604
I am not the seller of this car nor have I ever met the seller. A friend of mine who owns a 914 and know the model very well inspected it for me and found an extensive amount of rust which is not mentioned by the seller in any of his ads. My friend sent me a description of the car and photos showing the rusty areas. It is far more than the typical underbody surface rust and rusty 914 battery tray. In addition the paint has quite a few rust bubbles and there is some overspray. Here is a link to the sellers photos of the car http://webpages.charter.net/carnut83/CURR_...14/weblink.html The seller's website is http://webpages.charter.net/carnut83/inventory.html It states: "J. Andreu Collectible Motorcars offers fine automobiles and honest service." He is representing himself as an "honest" seller of "classic and specialty motorcars". The clear message of that page is that he is an expert, a professional, and can be trusted. If you are seriously considering buying this car, inspect it personally. I will email photos of the rusty areas if you contact me directly. Barry |

Barry - did your buddy confirm whether it's really an LE, or a "make-up LE"??
He doesn't list mileage (odd for a 2 owner 914 listing) & his F&R trunk pix appear to have underbody schutz under the carpets! Keep me posted on your interest (or not) for that Springfield MO one to look over. Tom/////// |
