i know sounds stupid... last one i put in was years ago and i remember it just being 2 wire. this has 3 wire???

I guess I am stupid...stared at this for over 5 minutes before responding...what is "s/w" supposed to mean?

Stewart Warner?
shortwave?
sidewinder?
sorta-working?

Please be aware that not everyone can understand shorthand unless it is extremely obvious. I have no idea what you are talking about and I have been around these cars for awhile...

it's not the stock o.e. gauge, it's a 2" replacement type (3 wire)
