do i pull one injector and put it into a baby food jar and then run the car for 5 minutes - repeat this on each injector?

Put all four in baby food jars .... crank engine for 30 seconds*** ... you are looking for:
Spray characteristics ... nice conical mist Volume of each Disconnect coil so you don't produce any spark. *** To avoid overheating starter ... 30 seconds max ... then let it cool. |

You can make a grid and measure the pattern of each injector too. Flow rate is easy. If it hasn't been done before, the o-rings should be replaced too.
I had a problem after a motor had been sitting for some time. Bosch makes an injector cleaning machine that measures everything. Injector places have them. But I got instant results by soaking the injector tips in fuel and injector cleaner, and hooking the injectors up to a power source on my bench to get the wires moving. Got them cleaned professionally after the car ran properly... just to be sure I had a baseline for each. |

You should pull the spark plugs to allow the motor to turn easier.
