For sale a set of tires removed from a project car that wanted wider tires. These are the hard to find 165 R 15 size. They are cooper brand and have only about 1000 miles on them. They have been mounted on the car for about 2 years. The rubber is still fresh and pliable and has no dry rot. The tread is great also.
$200.00 plus shipping.

What Load & Speed ratings are they? > 165R15 xxH or xxS or xxT ??

What are the last 4 digits after the DOT serial no. on the sidewall in the oval inset or between a couple of "+" "+" or ">" "<" marks?

I don't see a load or speed rating on the tire.
The numbers in the recessed ovals are "C3T3202" which I guess is the serial no. and "E03L".
Hope this helps

The "...3202" which I bolded above means the tires were mfgd. in the 32nd week of 2002 - or about mid-July `02 +/-.

The Load Rating & Speed Rating are combined in a numeric-letter combination after the tire size on the sidewall, while old 1970's tires had the speed rating letter embedding in the size, for example:

OLD:..............................................NEW:...................SPEED RATING:

165VR15.............................................165R15 86V.........V = 149 mph max

165HR15.............................................165R15 86H.........H = 130 mph max

165SR15.............................................165R15 86S.........S = 112 mph max

N/A.....................................................165R15 86T.........T = 118 mph max

Porsche's 914 OE Spec Tires Speed Ratings:
914/6's had V rated (maybe some H??)
914-2.0L's (4 cyls) had H rated
914 1.7L's & 1.8L's had S rated

"86" is the Load Rating & 70-90 range is fine for 914s
- (I just picked "86" out of the air for this example)

FYI - Many tire dealer & mfgr. websites have online charts for all of the load & speed ratings)
