Not a Porshe boat but a Classic runabout. I stumbled across this 15' 1966 Silverline Riviera. I literally took a wrong turn on a side street and there she was. I'm so stoked about the deal I got on this boat. Boat with a nice interior, top and side curtains, perfect running 60HP Evinrude. Trailer and all the original paper work and manuals. $300.00! I feel a little guilty but I didn't set the price.

And the best part of boating is a blonde crewmate.

I just buffed the jell coat today. I'm not painting it. It's got patina. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

VERY nice boat!
I spent my day boating today, too.
My son driving through a gust of wind, he loves it when the boat heels and accelerates.

As you can see I am the Captain, he's driving, my wife is tending the jib sheets, and I'm sitting on my ass lighting a cigar. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Here's the ghost ship. It's haunted by the lost souls of a mutinied crew that ran out of provisions 100 years ago and the boat just drifted into port this week, empty but for the skeletons.

OK, it probably belongs to some hick from Fresno who's wife got her hair frizzed their first time out and she won't ever return too the boat, or he got scared and in over his head and decided that golf was safer and less scary.

Love the retro boat. I have friends who used to have one very similar to that in Vermont. It was great for St. Albans Bay but the waves on Lake Champlain were a bit much to take it any great distance.

Have fun!

Rick:

A point of interest: Do you know that Evinrude makes 4 cycle engine in the

250 HP range. I know it's not a V8 from a 928 but it sounds interesting doesn't

it. Alien for land ,& 1 for the water!!!!!! Dave (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif)

Really would like to own a large sailboat some day. Something in the 60-70 foot range. Thats gonna be a few more years. Love to sail around the world when I retire.

More time to look at it and dream up the modifications.
Lets see....

Heat...a season extender
Closed top...season extender
Wood accents...wood dash, better gauges...

And of course...
Paint...or at least some black accent stripes (you know Im right)
