Can a 2.0l motor be modified with a vertical VW type 1 style cooler housing for increased air flow and cooling?

Is their enough height available in the engine compartment?

Jake Raby makes a DTM style cooler like the one for a beetle that fits in a 914 bay, too... I've seen 1-2 of them.

there's also a 911 style shroud for the 914-4

that said, if you have a good running engine with stock cooling, it shouldn't be getting hot unless it's been overhauled for more hp/compression/ displacement.

I seem to remember Jake saying his DTM would OVER-COOL engines that don't need it.
