A buddy of mine and I went to see a Kelmark GT powered by a 2.7 six yesterday. It was built as a rally car by Zim & Mayo out of Dallas, TX in the early 80's. Anyone out there know anything about it?

I'm sorry to report that its in pretty rough condition. The fiberglass body is shot although the tube frame looks good. Its been sitting in this guy's yard under a tarp for who knows how many years. The engine won't turn over by hand, but the present owner is "soaking it in marvel mystery oil for a few weeks" so maybe it will soon.

Pretty sure it's the one that started out as a VW Trends project car (or a project they were covering?). Seemed pretty neat - 911 engine and trans, VW based chassis set up off-road. I saw something about it on the web but didn't keep the link.
