Well i have my engine out and mostly stripped so i can clean the gunk off from the oil leak.. while i have it out should i rebuild it? i have no idea when it had it done last.. i don't believe that in needs to be done but who knows..

Clean it, fix the leak..put it back together, put it back in, Drive it like you stole it...

then in late november pull the motor and rebuild it.

or buy a motor to rebuild as you drive it like you stole it.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

then when you're ready, swap it out in a weekend...

if it runs, I don't see the need to rebuild unless compression or leakdown tests show definite faults..
