Recently bought a pair of Dual 40s from Jake at his site. Set up the carbs, manifolds, and linkage per installation instructions. Problem is the passenger side linkage coming off the end of the cross bar is hitting the bars(SPRING) of the deck lid, not allowing full throttle action. Tried different positioning, but same affect. Thought about hitting the spring w/hammer, but that's not good! Also removing spring bars all together. Enclosing attachment of sample car with same set up......not mine. Thoughts.......??
