Just found out my 914 has an "050" dizzy. I know the caps, rotors and condensors differ but are the pints in these the same as on an "09"?

btw, I have 2 extras, since they are not the same as my dizzy, and I went to a crane. so I have 2 009s with a comufire/pertronix type unit.

I may be alone on this, but I actually like having an "antique" car and showing the "young'uns" things like points, valves that need adjustment, timing lights, dwell tachs, etc. If I wanted "improvements" I'd have a boxster for my toy. Same with my bike...I don't want a fairy (fairing) or even a windshield...no radio, heated seat, etc. Hell...a Goldwing is pretty much a Civic missing a wheel! I'm half-way with you... I think it's important they know what they are, but for a car I'm going to maintain, I'll put a pertronix or something in. makes my life easier. if you decide you want it, lmk.
