I'm looking at a 73 2.0 selling in the low 6s. It appears to be a good prospect except for a really noisy muffler, a transaxle oil leak and an ill-fitting front hood. I am most concerned about the latter. The hood arches a little high and thus sits a little high relative to the fenders and the headlights. I suspect this is due to some front end damage in an accident at some point in the car's distant past. Does anyone have a sense of whether it would be a major undertaking to repair that kind of problem and how much I should discount from the price to cover that?
