I have been working on getting my wife's Half Six put back together so it actually runs on all four cylinders.
I got it all together tonight and attempted to fire it up. Turns over, but no start. I checked the fuel pump...coming on as it should. Check spark, spark is good. I pulled the fuel supply line in the engine bay, fuel is there....pull the fuel line on the other side of the regulator....nothing, dry as a bone. Pull the regulator off, and clean it out. Reach in and push the diaphragm...it opens and I am able to blow through it. Put it all back together, sans the discharge line from the regulator....try it again, no fuel. I have not made any changes to the fuel pump or the regulator whatsoever. I have checked to make sure I don't have the fuel lines swapped (obviously). I have it plumbed exactly like Pelicans diagram. I have the Optima battery that I took out of it a year ago, it does not seem weak, it turns the engine over fine. So......what would cause fuel to get to the regulator, but not through it? Any ideas? If the pressure seems ok check the fuel lines again. The regulator is at the end of the loop so fuel passes by the injectors before the regulator.
