Anyone taken their fuel gauge apart? I just filled my new-to-me '71, and it only reads 3/4. I know some Smiths gauges are dual magnet instead of the moving coil type, and these magnets can be adjusted. Same on the 914 fuel gauge?
If not, any other likely repair job on adjusting it? It seems to read low at both ends of the scale. I had it just about at R and the light wasn't coming on. |
