I located a nice set of 2.0 Fuchs for my 914; now I need the lug bolts. I did a thread search here but did not come up with a definite answer re: the following:

I was talking to a guy at a wheel refurb shop and he said that the original 38mm Porsche lug bolts that originally came with the wheels are super expensive like $40-50 apiece from a Porsche dealer! Any truth to this? Will new after market 38mm lug bolts that I see on eBay etc. look/fit/hold up the same? Seems like a big difference from approx $75/set to $400/set! I want to make my car as original as possible but not sure if I need to be this anal about it if I don't have to.

Thanks,

Pelican sells em for 18.50 a piece for OEM, 8.50 for the aftermarket.

I have a complete OE set in fair shape if you're interested.
