I know it's posted in this thread someplace but on the Roku channel they are running the british series UFO. There is a cool scene with a blonde in a mini skirt driving a 914. Very cool sets. Pre Austin Powers vintage clothing and set design.

GM (chevrolet) documentary/movie from early 70s - warning of evils of foreign car domination and urging yanks to work harder.
914s/toyota pickups co-star as invasive weeds. "the beetle and the bug". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7tzuZQ24TE (green 14 on top deck of rail carriage appears to be a down force device). |

Couldn't sleep last night (2:20 am) and I put on pluto TV - Chassy channel for some white noise. It was showing Porsche Road Trip - Vegas episode.
And guess who i saw in TV with his 914--- @Mikey914 . A taco run in LA and a drive in LV. Very cool! They even showed a snippet of the 914 rally. Newcomb ranch I think. I was half as sleep so I couldn't do a screen shot. Not sure when they will show it again but i will be in the lookout for it. Watching ‘Acapulco’ on Apple TV. Episode 9 ‘Time After Time’ had a 914 (possibly a six as it had 5 lug Fuchs) in the valet area of the hotel.

Really cool (but short duration) 914 sounds on this YouTube video. I'm into all sorts of music, and folk / cultural instruments...and found this Yidaki / Didgeridoo episode. They say these hollowed out tree branches are one of the oldest musical instruments (human voice powered) in existence. Even more cool how Termites play a big role in the design (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Can't figure out the YouTube link tho...just search the title < |

Too lazy to search the thread, but in case it was not listed, I watched Steve Martin and Daryl Hannah in Roxanne.

Recently we watched The Gumball Rally. There are 3 appearances of 914s in it.
Two are near the beginning with the Cops in LA. First one is a yellow one through the windshield. Second one they are passing on the freeway. Third one is when the guy in the Rolls stops to pick up his girlfriend. |

Had a weird situation last night. For some reason I watched two 1978 movies in a row. The first was ‘Thank God It’s Friday’, a disco themed movie with Donna Summers. There is a 914 leaving the front of the club in one of the scenes. A little off topic but one of the main characters, played by Jeff Goldblum, drives a 911. But as soon as that movie was over I started watching ‘Corvette Summer’ with Mark Hamill. At one point he is running after his stolen Corvette in Las Vegas. A 914 enters the scene from the left pulling through the parking lot (?) he is running through. It’s the only vehicle in the scene.
