It was 6 months before I ever noticed it, a white 75-76 with Empi wheels I think

There is a film that I saw a few years ago that had a 914 as the main car... it was pretty beat up and was hand painted, but still looked cool ;-)

I'm guessing you are talking about Rancid Aluminium. The 914 features heavily although it was painted matt black and looked a bit run down.

I turn on HBO this morning and Intolerable Cuelty is on and George Clooney is riding in the passenger seat of a 914. I was like "that's a 914!" It was exicitng in twisted sort of way. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

They don't rate the movie too highly!! No mention what so ever about the black (what looked hand painted) rough 914... Shame may have got a bigger audience (slightly ;-) )

Verdict:
If you're in the mood for a nice British caper, go rent Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels or Snatch. This movie is guilty of having too many plot holes and is sentenced five to ten for a sloppy script.

LOL, those are 2 of my favorite movies... simply great!

I wasn't even going to watch intolerable Cruelty until I found out a 914 was in it.. turned out to be a decent movie... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/clap.gif) In the movie "Roxanne", with Steve Martin as the fire department chief, there is a yellow 914 parked outside the bookstore in a seen where he is walking out of it. It has riviera wheels and the molding across the sides down the middle. Nice car.

This may be another 914 sighting in a movie.

I started watching The Odessa File with John Voight this afternoon on TCM. About 5 minutes into the film, taking place in Germany, what appears to be a red 914 is seen driving down the street at night. It all happened so quickly, I may be completely wrong here. Although the plot centers around Germany in 1963, it's possible that was a 914 due to the year the film was made, 1974. Has anyone else seen the film and seen the scene I'm referring to?

White 914 in National Lampoon's Vacation. It's parked on the curb with a surf board sticking out of the open targa top when Chevy Chase AKA Clarke Griswold is buying the BB gun at the sporting goods store.

So this weekend, I was flipping the channels, and came across what was possibly the absolute WORST movie ever made. A complete waste of film:

"Class of 1999.. Part II"

About a killer cyborg substitute teacher..... that kills students, faculty, etc. I still can't believe there was a part 1.... nevermind part 2.

Nevertheless.. there was a great 914 sighting..... on the street, when the boyfriend of the lead actress is trying to run over the gang member when he was hanging out on the street corner dancing--LOL

Showed the 914 like 3 times!!

It was the best part of the movie!!

Just had another movie having 914 content: The Fury with Kirk Duglas and Amy Irving made in 1978. Amy Irving and her "Mother" drive to some institute and they park in front of a Irish green 914. It's playing now on the FMC channel.

About 1/2 way thru the movie "Thief" with James Caan 1981

The police stop Caan just as he is about to enter a onramp and a blue 914 has to detour around the stop.......
