THere was a guy who had a 914 with a V6 buick engine in it.
He'd cut in scoops on the side of the machine, even though it had GT flares, IIRC. He's set up one side to be the intake for Plant, and the other to provide aditional cooling, and to balance the body work, much like the Boxster. Also I recall another person discussing the feasability of using a small 1.8 turbo plant from a VW. They's thought to hang 2 radiators on the side of the engine bay using scoops to provide air to the radiators.
