first off i am steve.
i live in kissimmee.
i am a first time owner of a 914.
i have been a back-yard mechanic for years.
you know brakes. alternators and such.
i would like to meet some other owners.
i would like to have some get togethers.
maybe even little mini-clinics and year round cook-outs (cuz we live in florida).
mini-clinics cuz i wanna learn to work on my porsche.
(first on my list learn to do the valves).

Welcome ! I have found the Florida crowd willing to help out..................especially if there is beer . This forum is very active and a good place to get advice. Also the classifieds is a great resource for parts. I think TC knows every 914 owner in the U.S., hell he's owned almost every 914 ever made . Stay in touch via this forum we're here to help.

Thats quite a list TC. I've also met Doug uh, Watson (?) down there at Sebring. I'm sure you know him. Takes AWESOME pictures.

Otherwise, I think you named the entire contingent and then some...

I did forget about Doug Waters. He is quite a photographer. He hasn't posted in forever and I haven't seen him in a long time. He has a Silver 914-6, which this picture reminds me that Qarl is over in Orlando as well

I visit regularly, but Qarl in Orlando is the only one i personally know in Florida.....

A southeast event would be great now that the weather is finally getting a little
cooler. I'd be up for anything involving beer, bbq, and some of them funny little
cars.

The guy who owns the white 914 in your picture is Michael Canine...he lives pretty close to me. I've met him at the Winterpark car show a few years ago.

I live in Florida,but 12 hours away from Tampa (real near L.A.----- lower Alabama.)

I know of two other owners in St Pete/Clearwater.

Quilmes - Martin (Marteen) live in Orlando. He's got a very hot red 6, and he's a dedicated 914'er.

I know Martin well, I can't believe I forgot him.

I'm in Daytona. I've met a few 914 guys but no regular posters on the world. I'd definitely be up for some BBQ/wrenching action!

Here is me at a PCA autocross at the Daytona Speedway a couple weekends ago with my '74 2.0L daily driver.
