Porsche may share its Panamera and 911 platforms with other VW Group brands in the near future, newly appointed Porsche CEO Michael Macht said..

No "Sharing" about it. They are owned by VW now. VW can take.
I hope to see some amazing VWs come out of this merger.

They can have the Panamera platform as far as I'm concerned.
And I'm hoping to see some amazing Porsches come out of this merger. By order of Herr Piech!
I also read that the VW and Porsche holding companies might be called Auto Union.

I actually think this could give some really amazing sports cars for a lot less$$$$. Of course the Porsche lines will always be the top shelf product but to make a great low end racer would be great for VW. Someone has to do something about this Miata epidemic.

i think they consider the marriage will result in one of the most powerful brands imaginable, and will be a top transportation player globally.
