Hey, Happy Halloween, These guys look Halloween worthy
I'm new here
I had a 2.0 back when I was in college, I never should have sold it
Now I'm coming back to the 914 fold after a long time out
I think I just found a car to buy, so hoepfully I'll be a 914 owner again within a few months

Considering a properly done engine overhaul costs more than the sticker price of that 2.0, I second that. And WELCOME!

I am also looking to get back into having a 914. After selling Punkin and going to a supercharged Miata I couldn't get the bug out of me. Now the Miata is gone so I'm looking for a very very cheap roller to work on &, in time, put it back together with scavenged parts & pieces.
Good luck to ya Hubbster.

Mine's been in hibernation for 20 years in my parents garage but after reading a ton of posts on 'world, it's time to get it back on the road. Red '74 2.0

great; I like you had a 20-year hiatus from having a 914; (i had a jetta, a 911 and and 911 cab in between those 20 years) and getting back into the seat of a 914 was the best car decision i ever made.

I first got my 74 914 2.0 when I was in grad school, then traded it a couple of years later for a 914-6. I've kept that car ever since, and along the way, went through two 911s when I needed a back seat for the small kids, and eventually got another 914 to convert and play with.
I loved the 911s, but every time I take the 914s out for a spin, it's like first love all over again. I guess they remind me of the gokart I had as a child!
Now, if I can only find the equivalent for my old Erector Set.

I've got a few cars. My 07 Z06 is about as wild as can be with a 650hp Katech engine
So I guess I'm looking for a new project
