How do you remove the knob?
i have twisted... pulled....

are you talking the rotatating ring?
i have been rotating and rotating that ring...

Pull the engine lid release knob out; grab the shaft with some needle nose pliers while turning the knob counterclockwise. You have to make the shaft stationary in order to turn the knob.
If you are removing the backkpad; use the tips of the needle nose pliers to turn the plastic plate where the shaft enters.

It's hard to see in the pic, but I suggest using a 911 "T" handle for the engine lid release. It's eaiser to pull than the stock round one. Really comes in handy if you have a cage like my car.....Performance Products part # 902429---$13.95

I thought you found the ENGINE RELEASE knob. pull the knob and the motor falls on the ground.
